Bourbon Glazed Grilled Salmon & Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Complete meal with a delicious salmon main dish and complimentary side of bacon wrapped asparagus.

Ingredients
Glazed Grilled Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets skin on
- Montana Outlaw BBQ Chicken Rub
- 4 cedar planks
Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
- 1 pound asparagus trimmed (about 16 to 20 spears)
- 8 strips thick-cut bacon
- Montana Outlaw BBQ Pork Rub
Glaze
- 1/2 cup brown sugar lightly packed
- 4 tbsp bourbon
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- Juice from 1/2 a lime
- 2 tsp fresh ginger minced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
Instructions
Glazed Grilled Salmon
- Soak cedar planks in water for 30 min.
- Trim thin areas of fillets away to until you get a uniform thickness, this helps with an even cook.
- Lightly season meat side with Montana Outlaw BBQ Chicken Rub and pat in.
- Add fillets to planks and smoke at 360°for 20-25 min until the internal temperature reaches 145°-150°.
Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
- Prep bacon wrapped asparagus while salmon is smoking. Trim asparagus by lining up the bundle and cutting about 1 to 1 1/2 inches away from the base end.
- Roll 2 asparagus together with 1 piece of bacon.
- Lightly season with Montana Outlaw BBQ Pork Rub.
- Place in smoker with salmon for 10-15 min.
Glaze
- Combine the brown sugar, bourbon, soy sauce, lime juice, ginger, and garlic in mixing bowl.
- Brush glaze onto salmon and bacon wrapped asparagus.
