Eye of Round: Skillet Method
Equipment
- Skillet/Griddle
Ingredients
- Eye of round
- Salt & pepper
- Garlic
- Rosemary
- Butter
Instructions
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and rosemary.
- Slice into 1 inch steaks.
- Sear on griddle (or in hot skillet), top with butter.
- Continue to cook until internal temp reaches 135°.
Eye of Round: Braised Method
Ingredients
- Eye of round
- Oil
- Montana Outlaw BBQ Beef Rub
- Onion Chopped
- Celery Chopped
- Carrot Chopped
- 1/4 cup Red wine
- Water
Instructions
- Heat oil in pan and sear all sides of eye or round.
- Set meat aside, season all sides with Montana Outlaw BBQ Beef Rub.
- In same pan used to brown meat, saute onions, carrots, and celery.
- Add roast back to pan.
- Add red wine and enough water to reach mid-height of the roast.
- Cover the pan and bake at 350° for 2 hours, 15 minutes.
